Sunmi Mini AP is a compact Wi-Fi access point designed to expand or stabilize a wireless network — that is, to provide connectivity in environments where classic Wi-Fi may not reliably reach. Despite its very small dimensions (approx. 76 × 76 × 19 mm, weight 73 g), it has a relatively strong "range", which can reach up to 1 km in ideal conditions.

Sunmi Mini AP uses 802.11ah ("sub-1 GHz") communication with better wall penetration and stability and support for security up to WPA3.

The device can operate in two modes:

• AP (Access Point / transmitter) — expands the Wi-Fi network for other devices
• Client (Receiver / receiver) — intended for devices without Wi-Fi, which are connected via a LAN port and the customer thus obtains a connection to the Internet network.
